Silver Stories - New Light on the Roman Treasure from Traprain Law.

Dr Fraser Hunter, Principal Curator of Prehistoric and Roman Archaeology at the National Museum of Scotland, visits the Waggonway Museum for the first lecture of our Winter Archaeology Series.
Dr Hunter led the excavation of the hill fort at Traprain Law, and will give our audience a unique insight into this unparalleled discovery.

Sick Picts : Healthcare & Disease at the May Island Monastery

Peter Yeoman, archaeologist and former Head of Cultural Heritage at Historic Scotland, visits the Waggonway Museum for the second lecture of our Winter Archaeology Series.

Peter is a leading figure in archaeology, with particular research interests in Iona Abbey, St Columba and of course ‘Sick Picts’ on the Isle of May, which he’ll be giving us a fascinating insight into during this lecture.
